Arcadia has been blessed with an unparalleled state-of the-
art facility. As caretakers of this facility, we understand
that it is our responsibility to provide our guests with an

FOUNDATIONAL GIFT

Fueled by a burning desire to leave his mark on the world as a “maker”, Ronald (Ron) G. Wanek, a bold and visionary entrepreneur, and Joyce (Steege) Wanek, his steadfast companion, together formed one of the greatest rags to riches stories in U.S. history. For more than 60 years, Ron and Joyce dedicated their lives to mentoring individuals at home and at work. With proper guidance, they believed that every man, woman and child could find success and contribute to the advancement of society. To honor Ron and Joyce Wanek, and the Wanek family’s extraordinary and lasting impact on humanity, including their generous financial contribution and the in-kind services provided by their family-owned company (Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.) toward the construction of this complex, the School District of Arcadia bestowed upon this facility the name, “Wanek Center”, in perpetuity on January 4, 2020.
